Sri Lankan Devilled Chicken With Vegetables:( my version)
Ingredients for the Vegetable sauce:
๐ท1 onion sliced or cut into rings
๐ท1-2 Carrots
๐ท100 g Mushrooms
๐ท1-2 Green Chillies
๐ท3-4 Asparagus Spears
๐ท2 tablespoons Tomato sauce
๐ท1 tablespoon Chillie sauce
๐ท1 tablespoon Dark soya sauce
๐ท1 teaspoon Sugar
๐ทSalt to taste
๐ท1 teaspoon chillie powder
๐ท1 teaspoon chili pieces (optional)
๐ท2 teaspoon-ginger and garlic paste
๐ท1 soup cube
๐ท3 teaspoons Cornflour
Ingredients for the Chicken Marinade;
๐ท1 kg Chicken
๐ท3 teaspoon Chillie powder
๐ท1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
๐ทSalt to taste
๐ท2 tablespoons lemon juice
๐ท4 tablespoons curd
๐ท1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
๐ท1 teaspoon Pepper powder
๐ท1/2 teaspoons Cumin Powder
Method:
๐นMarinate the Chicken with all the ingredients and keep it aside for 1 hour then deep fry it.
I used the air-fryer at 200c for 25 minutes.
How to make the vegetable Sauce:
1️⃣Put the soup cube into a bowl and add 2 cups of water mix well.add soya sauce ,tomato sauce,chillie sauce, sugar, corn flour,chillie powder and keep it aside.
2️⃣Now keep a pan on fire add oil,add ginger garlic paste ,when it’s brown add the onions,vegetables and the salt stir it for a minute.add the Chili pieces stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
3️⃣Pour the sauce mix to it and add the fried Chicken pieces.
5️⃣When it comes to a boil and becomes thick switch off the fire.
6️⃣You can enjoy it with Fried rice or noodles.
Sweet corn Fried Rice:
Ingredients:
๐ท3 Cups Cooked Rice
๐ท1/2 Cup Green Peas Frozen or Fresh
๐ท1 cup Sweet corn (Can,Frozen Or Fresh)
๐ท2 teaspoons Ginger and Garlic Paste
๐ท1 Carrot Grated
๐ท1/4 teaspoons Turmeric powder
๐ทSalt
๐ท1 teaspoon Pepper powder or Chili pieces
Method:
1️⃣Heat oil,add ginger & garlic paste,sautรฉ for few seconds. To this add Green peas,Carrot and sweet corn and sautรฉ for few minutes on high flame with constant stirring. (for about 4- 5 minutes ).
2️⃣Reduce the flame and Add salt,Turmeric Powder to it and mix well. Sautรฉ for another one minute.
3️⃣Add the cooked rice to it and mix well.Sprinkle pepper powder to it and mix well. Heat it covered for about 8- 10 minutes on low flame. Serve hot.
