Semolina Tart (Makes -16)


For the Tart dough:

Ingredients:

๐ŸŒบ2 cups all purpose flour

๐ŸŒบ1/2 teaspoon Salt

๐ŸŒบ1 Egg

๐ŸŒบ3 tablespoons Butter

๐ŸŒบWater to knead the dough 

Method:

  1. Add the flour,salt ,butter ,egg to a bowl and mix well .add water little by little and knead it to a soft and smooth dough.
  2. Leave it to rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll the dough and cut rounds with a cookie cutter.
  4. Place them on a well greased cup cake tray.
  5. Bake at 180c for 20 minutes.


While the tart is baking make the semolina mix.

Ingredients:

๐ŸŒบ4 cups water

๐ŸŒบ1.5 cups sugar

๐ŸŒบHalf cup oil

๐ŸŒบ5 cardamom pods

๐ŸŒบ1 cup semolina 

Method:

1.Boil the water,when it starts to boil add the sugar,mix it.

2.Let the sugar dissolve completely.

3.keep the sugar syrup aside.

4.Take a separate pan.

5.Add the oil.

6.Add the cardamoms.




7.Add the semolina and fry it in oil for 8 minutes.( medium flame)

8.Reduce the flame and add half of the sugar syrup.keep in mixing.add all the remaining sugar syrup.

9.Mix it until thickens.

10.Leave the semolina to set for 20 -30 minutes in the pan itself.

11.Take the baked Tart and fill it with semolina halwa on it.

12.Garnish it with Almonds,Raisins and Cashew nuts.
