Pol Roti


Ingredients 
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Salt to taste
Warm water as needed 
Chopped onions and green chilli chopped (optional)


Method 

1.Mix the all the ingredients in a bowl.  
2.add warm water gradually and knead to make a soft dough .
3.Knead the dough and break into lemon size balls.
4.Roll the dough balls into a 1/4 inch circle 
5.Cook on a heated heavy bottom pan till golden brown on both sides under medium heat. 
6.Serve hot, with Pol sambol or katta sambol.

📌If you are making with desiccated coconut add boiling water to it .then after 5 minutes add the flour and knead and leave it for 30 minutes.then start making.

📌When you are rolling don’t dust with flour. Sprinkle some oil on the dough and roll it.

📌You can use a cookie cutter if you want in even small round roti’s.
