Pol Roti
Ingredients
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Salt to taste
Warm water as needed
Chopped onions and green chilli chopped (optional)
Method
1.Mix the all the ingredients in a bowl.
2.add warm water gradually and knead to make a soft dough .
3.Knead the dough and break into lemon size balls.
4.Roll the dough balls into a 1/4 inch circle
5.Cook on a heated heavy bottom pan till golden brown on both sides under medium heat.
6.Serve hot, with Pol sambol or katta sambol.
πIf you are making with desiccated coconut add boiling water to it .then after 5 minutes add the flour and knead and leave it for 30 minutes.then start making.
πWhen you are rolling don’t dust with flour. Sprinkle some oil on the dough and roll it.
πYou can use a cookie cutter if you want in even small round roti’s.
