Lebanese pie (FATAYAR)

Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 2 teaspoon  instant yeast
-  salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 4tablespoon canola or olive oil
-  warm water


Put flour in a bowl,add salt ,oil and mix it well.now add sugar and dry yeast mix well,
add warm water and knead to a soft dough.
 cover the bowl and place in a warm place for at least 1 hour for the dough to rise.


make a filling with potatoes and beef (my own sri lankan style filling)
ingredients
 3cubed potatos
 200gcubed beef
1onions
1/2 tomatoe
turmeric power little
chilly powder 2 tsp or to your taste
salt


method
 put oil to a pan add onions tomatoes add the beef and spices add little water and cook till tender
now add the potatoes add enough water to cook the potatoes,when the curry is ready take off from
fire.

🌹Grated Mozzarella cheese to sprinkle on top.

meat filling (traditional labenese curry)
- 450 g lean ground meat
- 2 onions chopped finely
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp allspice powder
- 2 tbsp veg. oil.
- 2/3 cup chopped tomatoes

fry the onions for 2 min,  then add meat and spices to the onions  and continue frying until the meat is cooked and the water is evaporated.  don't overcook, other wise the meat will be dry.  let the meat cool and drain off any liquid.  add the chopped tomatoes to the meat and mix. 

use the meat filling to make square or round pies - roll the dough thinly and cut into oval shape or square shape ,keep the filling in the middle and fold both sides,dont close the filling,brush with eggs and

 🌹Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top before baking.
🌹 bake at 200c for 15-20 minutes.
