Boondi Ladoo:
Sweet boondi Laddu:
Ingredients:
❤️2 cups Gram flour
❤️1 1/2 cup water
❤️Pinch of Salt
❤️1 tsp Cardamom powder
❤️3-4 tablespoons Ghee
❤️Green and red coloring
Yellow coloring or Kesari Powder
❤️100g Chopped cashew nuts (optional)
❤️50g Sultana (plums)(optional)
For the Sugar Syrup:
❤️2 cup Sugar
❤️1 1/2 cup water
Method :
1️⃣Add the Gram flour to a bowl.add Salt,Kesari Powder.
2️⃣Heat the ghee and add to the Gram flour immediately and Add water and whisk it well without forming any lumps which should be in dosa batter consistency. To check the consistency, pour a ladle of batter on the boondhi ladle, If it drops as perfect rounds, boondhi batter is in correct consistency. If you want you can add yellow food colour.
3️⃣In separate bowl add green and red color and keep it aside.
4️⃣In a saucepan add sugar and water, let it boil till you get the correct consistency. If you pour this sugar syrup from a ladle it should be poured like a silky thread ( very near to reach one thread consistency but not exact one thread ) . Once you reach this perfect syrup, turn off the stove and add cardamom powder, Mix well.
5️⃣Heat frying oil in a pan, Hold the boondi ladle near the oil ( not far, if so it results in lengthy boondi’s instead of round boondi )
6️⃣Pour a ladle of batter over the boondi ladle and it will drop down by itself, or you can even spread it using a spoon.
7️⃣Once it starts to drop down, move the boondi ladle here and there as to avoid forming boondi lumps. Make sure you are moving the boondi ladle just above the oil. Turn over boondi’s on both sides to cook.don’t cook until crispy.fry them slightly.
8️⃣Drain the cooked boondi from the oil, put it in the prepared sugar syrup and mix it well.syrup should be slightly hot.
9️⃣Fry all the batter and add it to the sugar syrup.Let it soak for 30 minutes.grind half of the boondi's.
1️⃣0️⃣Heat a pan with a teaspoon of ghee, fry cashewnuts and Sultana.Add it to the boondi's. Add the cardamom powder to it.Mix well with your fingers.
1️⃣1️⃣Start making Ladoo.If you grind the tiny balls properly only you will be able to make the Ladoos.
1️⃣2️⃣ Boondi ladoo is ready to eat.
❤️You can Make only with yellow color without adding red and green boondi balls.
