Tres Leches Chocolate Coffee Cake:




Ingredients For the Sponge Cake:


๐Ÿซ3 Eggs

๐Ÿซ130g Sugar 

๐Ÿซ70g Flour

๐Ÿซ20g Cocoa powder

๐ŸซA Pinch of Salt

๐Ÿซ50 g Butter or Margarine 

๐Ÿซ30g Dark chocolate 

๐Ÿซ1/2 cup Milk+ 2 Tablespoons 

๐Ÿซ 1 teaspoon Baking powder

๐Ÿซ1 teaspoon coffee powder

๐Ÿซ1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence

Ingredients:


1️⃣Double boil the chocolate and butter together (boil water in a sauce pan, place the bowl containing chocolate and butter over it and melt)

2️⃣To the melted chocolate add cocoa powder, Milk and mix well.

3️⃣Separate the egg yolks and egg whites.Make sure the eggs are at room temperature.

4️⃣Add the egg yolk in the chocolate mix and mix well. Add the coffee powder and baking powder to the flour, Add the flour mix and mix well.Add Vanilla Essence(Optional).

5️⃣Whisk  the egg whites in a separate bowl.when bubbles start to appear add the sugar slowly and beat till stiff peak forms.

6️⃣Add the egg white to the egg yolk mix and start folding very gently, just untill egg white disappears, again do not overmix. 

7️⃣Transfer to a greased and lined with parchment paper, 7 inch cake pan and bake at 160C• for 20 to 25 minutes. 

8️⃣Prick at the center of the cake with a tooth pick, if it comes out clean then the cake is cooked completely, cool down the cake.


Ingredients for the Milk Bath:


๐Ÿซ20g Cocoa

๐Ÿซ1/2 Cup Milk 

๐Ÿซ1/4 Cup Heavy cream 

๐Ÿซ1/4 Cup Condensed milk


Method:

1️⃣Place the cake upside down Inside a deep tray or Pyrex dish and prick holes with a fork.

2️⃣Take a bowl add Cocoa powder Milk,Cream and Condensed Milk in it.

3️⃣Whisk till everything Is well Combined.

4️⃣Pour the milk Bath over the cake and soak the cake for 1 -2 hours in the refrigerator.


Ingredients for the Whip Cream Frosting:


๐Ÿซ1/2 Cup Whipped cream 

๐Ÿซ2 tablespoons IcingSugar

๐Ÿซ2 tablespoons Cocoa powder 

๐Ÿซ1/2 teaspoons coffee powder 


Method:

1️⃣Take a  bowl, add in the chilled whipping cream, Icing Sugar,Cocoa powder and beat till stiff peaks.

2️⃣Take out the cake from refrigerator and apply the whipped cream on it.

3️⃣Dust Cocoa powder on top.(optional)

4️⃣Again refrigerate for one more hour.

5️⃣Enjoy ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป


๐Ÿซ๐ŸซIf you are adding Chocolate instead of Cocoa powder for the whipped cream frosting.First melt the Chocolate with the whipped cream in the microwave.,Then let it cool in the refrigerator for sometime.when it’s cold start beating until stiff while adding the icing sugar.
