Falooda

 Cool and Refreshing Exotic Dessert Drink:




Making falooda recipe takes a bit of patience, but is very easy to do. Each ingredient element is added one after the other in a serving glass or jar.


First goes in the Basil Seeds Aka Sabja Seeds.followed by the falooda sev (thin corn starch vermicelli) and plain Coloured Sanja (optional). Then the Milk  is poured.Lastly topped with ice cream and garnished with nuts(optional).

Ingredients 

🌷3 cups fresh milk 

🌷Sugar to your taste

🌷2 tablespoons teaspoons Basil Seeds(It’s also called Sabja seeds,Takumaria Seeds )

🌷Sugar to your taste

🌷Rose syrup 

🌷Sanja Chopped 

🌷1 Scoop of Vanilla ice cream for one glass


Method 

1️⃣Boil milk and add sugar per your taste and Strain it .don’t add more sugar as we are adding Rose syrup too.Leave it in the refrigerator to cool.

2️⃣Make the plain Sanja.

3️⃣Add the basil seeds to a Bowl.add water  to cover the seeds,let it soak for 10 -20 minutes.Let it swell up.add more water if it’s not soaked well. you will see the Basil seedsfully soaked and will look gelatinous.

Tip:

Keep the remaining soaked basil seeds  in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.


       How to Assemble the Falooda:


1️⃣Take a Tall Glass or an attractive drink ware.

2️⃣Add a tablespoonful of soaked Basil Seeds.

3️⃣Add 3-4 Tablespoons of Sanja Chopped.(at colour you want)

4️⃣Next a layer of vermicelli.(I didn’t add)

5️⃣Fill the glass with thick Boiled and Cooled Sweetened Milk up to ⅔ full.

6️⃣Add a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream.

7️⃣Top it with 2 Tablespoons of Rose syrup.

8️⃣Garnish it with Chopped Pistachios(optional)and Rose Petals(optional).

9️⃣Serve immediately.
