Ulundu Vadai :

Ingredients:


📌2 cups urad dhal

📌1 medium Onion Chopped 

📌3 Green chili 

📌Salt

 📌1tablespoon Cumin-seeds

📌Chopped Curry leaves (optional)



Method:

1️⃣Soak urad dhal for 6 hours or overnight.

2️⃣Blend it into a coarse paste adding green chili. Remove from blender  put it into a bowl and beat well with your hands until fluffy.to make sure batter is ready put the batter in a bowl of water, batter should float.

3️⃣Add all other ingredients to the batter and mix well.

4️⃣Batter should be soft but not runny.when you put the batter on your palm the batter should hold the shape.

4️⃣Wet the Palms and take a golf size batter and place over your palm and flatten to round shape and make a hole in the center looking like a donut.

5️⃣Fry in hot oil till golden color. 

6️⃣Crispy vadai is ready . Serve with green chutney or red chutney,while vadai is hot.


Tips :

📌Keep the Vadai batter in the refrigerator for half an hour before you fry to get the proper shape.
