Chocolate Cake with chocolate butter cream frosting:
INGREDIENTS FOR CAKE:
unsalted butter 250 g
sugar 250g
Eggs 05
Flour 250g
cocoa powder 4 heaped tablespoons
baking powder 1 level teaspoon
Baking soda 1 level teaspoon
vanilla 1 teaspoon
INGREDIENTS FOR CHOCOLATE BUTTER CREAM:
icing sugar 200g
unsalted butter 100g
cocoa powder 3 tablespoons
Milk 1 tablespoons
Sieve icing sugar and cocoa.Beat altogether until creamy.
INGREDIENTS FOR GANACHE:
Dark chocolate 150g
whipping cream 125 ml
METHOD:
Measure flour and reduce 4 tbs from it
{That is the amount of cocoa} then add the cocoa,Baking powder,Baking soda to the flour and sift and keep aside.Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy and fluffy .Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.when it’s well combined stop the mixer and add flour in 3 or 4 batches and fold with a wooden spoon. Add vanilla too.Mix into a dropping consistency {not too loose} and spread evenly to a lined and greased 9 by 9 square tin and bake in pre heated oven at 175 degree
For 40 min or when it comes dry when a toothpick inserted .cool on a wire rack .And cut horizontally from middle and sandwich with chocolate butter cream . And pour ganache on top.
TO MAKE GANACHE:
Put chopped chocolate in a heat proof bowl .heat whipping cream in a pan until boiling point but not started to boil off the heat and pour it quickly to the chocolate and mix well and keep for a while until slightly thickens...Then pie over the cake
