Prawn Vade / Isso Vade ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ


 Prawn Marinate:
12-15 large prawns .(if you are using small prawns you can use 2 or 3 for one Vade)
Marinate it with some salt and keep it aside.

Paste to stick the prawns:
๐Ÿฆ 1/2  cup Flour
๐ŸฆLittle Water 

Add water little by little and make a thick glue like paste to paste the prawns and keep it aside.

Ingredients For the Vadai:

๐Ÿฆ3 cups Channa dhal(Toor dhal)
๐Ÿฆ1 Onion finely chopped 
๐Ÿฆ3-  4 Green chilli
๐ŸฆSome Curry leaves chopped
๐ŸฆLittle coriander leaves chopped 
๐ŸฆSalt to taste 
๐Ÿฆ2-3 tablespoons Chilli Flakes
๐Ÿฆ3 teaspoons Maldives fish flakes 
๐Ÿฆ3 tablespoons  Lime juice

Method: 
  1. Soak the Channa dhal for 4-5 hours. Drain all the water .
  2. Grind 1/3 of the Channa dhal into a paste with the green chilli,(don’t grind into a fine paste)don’t add any water for grinding,it should be dry.
  3. Grind the other 1/3 into a coarse paste with the green chilli.
  4. Add the remaining Dhal whole .if you grind this way you will get perfect yummy crunchy vadai.
  5. Now mix all the ingredients together .check the salt.
  6. Now the Vade mix is ready to fry


How to make the vadai::
  1. keep a lunch sheet or cling film on your work top. Take a lemon size Vade mix and press it with your fingers and  make it Flat.
  2. Apply the Flour paste  on top and paste the prawn.
  3. Deep fry in hot oil in medium flame.
  4. Cook both sides until done.
  5. Enjoy with Katta sambol.
