Mashroshi:

Traditional Maldivian Mashroshi is made using tuna filling and coconut dough. My favorite, great for anytime snack and breakfast❤️
Ingredients for the dough:
π500 grams flour( I added Atta and white flour)
πWarm water
πHalf scrapped coconut or 1 cup desiccated coconut
πSalt
For the filling
π1 can of tuna
π1 onion
π2-3 green chili
πHandful of coconut (desiccated coconut)
πSalt
πPepper powder
πChili pieces
πCurry leaves chopped (I added coriander leaves)
Method
Filling :
1.Cut the onion , curry leaves and chili finely chopped.
2.Add everything to the tuna ,mix well
3.Add chilli flakes and pepper powder to your spice level.if you don’t want you don’t have to add.(this is my versionπ)the traditional mashroshi is only with onions and green chilli with tuna.
4.Make small balls like cutlets.
3.Keep it aside.
Dough:
Method:
- put the dough ingredients to a bowl and knead it well into a stiff dough.
- If you are using desiccated coconut add little hot water to it and leave for 5 minutes and then add the flour salt and knead the dough.
- Break into lime size balls.
- Take one portion of dough flat it a little bit in your palm making a well inside folding your palm half way,place one portion of fish mix in to the dough and press inside. Seal it properly.
- Dust with flour and roll it into a circle ⭕️ (not too thin or too thick.)
- Heat the roti pan and place the roti’s .
- Cook both sides in medium heat.
