Masoor Dhal With Radish;





 


Ingredients:

๐Ÿ“Œ2 Cups Mashoor Dhal

๐Ÿ“Œ3 cups of Water

๐Ÿ“Œ1/2 Tomato chopped

๐Ÿ“Œ2 Green Chillies 

๐Ÿ“Œ5 Garlic cloves sliced

๐Ÿ“Œ1-2 teaspoon chili Powder 

๐Ÿ“Œ1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

๐Ÿ“ŒSalt to taste

๐Ÿ“Œ1 cup thick Coconut Milk

๐Ÿ“ŒPandan leaves

๐Ÿ“ŒCurry Leaves

๐Ÿ“ŒRadish cut into cubes (you can add more or little)


For the tempering:

๐Ÿ“Œ2 tablespoons Olive oil

๐Ÿ“Œ1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds

๐Ÿ“Œ1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds

๐Ÿ“ŒSliced half an Onion

๐Ÿ“Œ2 Dry red chilli

๐Ÿ“Œ2 Garlic cloves chopped

๐Ÿ“Œ1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder 

๐Ÿ“ŒChopped Coriander leaves 


Method:

1️⃣Wash the dhal and add water. Peel and chop radish into cubes.

2️⃣To the dhal add the Green Chillies,Onions,Tomato,Curry leaves ,Pandan leaf,Cubed Radish, Turmeric Powder,Chili Powder.Switch on the fire.when it boils,Close with a lid and cook until done.

3️⃣Pour the thick Coconut Milk.add salt,boil once and switch off the fire.

4️⃣Take a small pan and add oil,followed by mustard seeds,let it splatter,add the sliced Garlic,when the garlic is brown add the sliced Onions stir it.add the,dried red chili, Chopped Coriander leaves,mix well add the chili powder.switch off the fire before the chili powder turn brown.a

5️⃣Pour the tempered ingredients over the cooked dhal.Mix well and enjoy.
