Masoor Dhal With Radish;
Ingredients:
📌2 Cups Mashoor Dhal
📌3 cups of Water
📌1/2 Tomato chopped
📌2 Green Chillies
📌5 Garlic cloves sliced
📌1-2 teaspoon chili Powder
📌1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
📌Salt to taste
📌1 cup thick Coconut Milk
📌Pandan leaves
📌Curry Leaves
📌Radish cut into cubes (you can add more or little)
For the tempering:
📌2 tablespoons Olive oil
📌1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
📌1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
📌Sliced half an Onion
📌2 Dry red chilli
📌2 Garlic cloves chopped
📌1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
📌Chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
1️⃣Wash the dhal and add water. Peel and chop radish into cubes.
2️⃣To the dhal add the Green Chillies,Onions,Tomato,Curry leaves ,Pandan leaf,Cubed Radish, Turmeric Powder,Chili Powder.Switch on the fire.when it boils,Close with a lid and cook until done.
3️⃣Pour the thick Coconut Milk.add salt,boil once and switch off the fire.
4️⃣Take a small pan and add oil,followed by mustard seeds,let it splatter,add the sliced Garlic,when the garlic is brown add the sliced Onions stir it.add the,dried red chili, Chopped Coriander leaves,mix well add the chili powder.switch off the fire before the chili powder turn brown.a
5️⃣Pour the tempered ingredients over the cooked dhal.Mix well and enjoy.
