Masoor Dhal With Radish;
Ingredients:
π2 Cups Mashoor Dhal
π3 cups of Water
π1/2 Tomato chopped
π2 Green Chillies
π5 Garlic cloves sliced
π1-2 teaspoon chili Powder
π1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
πSalt to taste
π1 cup thick Coconut Milk
πPandan leaves
πCurry Leaves
πRadish cut into cubes (you can add more or little)
For the tempering:
π2 tablespoons Olive oil
π1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
π1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
πSliced half an Onion
π2 Dry red chilli
π2 Garlic cloves chopped
π1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
πChopped Coriander leaves
Method:
1️⃣Wash the dhal and add water. Peel and chop radish into cubes.
2️⃣To the dhal add the Green Chillies,Onions,Tomato,Curry leaves ,Pandan leaf,Cubed Radish, Turmeric Powder,Chili Powder.Switch on the fire.when it boils,Close with a lid and cook until done.
3️⃣Pour the thick Coconut Milk.add salt,boil once and switch off the fire.
4️⃣Take a small pan and add oil,followed by mustard seeds,let it splatter,add the sliced Garlic,when the garlic is brown add the sliced Onions stir it.add the,dried red chili, Chopped Coriander leaves,mix well add the chili powder.switch off the fire before the chili powder turn brown.a
5️⃣Pour the tempered ingredients over the cooked dhal.Mix well and enjoy.
