Black Forest Gateaux



Ingredients:-

All-purpose flour 250 g
Margarine -250 g
Cocoa powder -50g
Fine sugar - 250g
Eggs -5
Cream of tartar -1 tea spoon
Baking powder -1 tea spoon
Vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
Strawberry essence
Cherries with stem& syrup -250 g
Whipping cream -200 ml
Icing sugar -2 cups
Cooking choclate curls
Corn flour - 2 table spoons
Sugar -1 table spoon

Method:-

Line 2 round baking   trays with parchment paper.
 Pre heat the oven @  180° c
Beat the margarine &  sugar well.then add eggs one at a time & beat well.fold sifted flour,cocoa powder, baking powder, cream of tartar & salt gently into the margarine mixture just until combined.
Pour this batter equally into 2 lined cake trays.& bake at 180°c pre heated oven for 30 minutes.
When the cake is done perfectly, cut both te cakes horizontally into 2 equal parts.& let it cool.& prepare the cherry sauce.
Cherry sauce :-
Cherry syrup -1/2 cup
Water -2 tablespoons
Sugar -1 table spoon
Corn flour- 2  spoons
Add all the ingredients into a pan & bring it to boil in a v.low flame.stir continuesly until sugar melt.
Apply this cherry syrup on the cut cakes with a silicone brush.on thatspread the wipped cream frosting & sprinkle some chopped cherries& nuts.keep other layers & repeat the same.when completed stacking,spread the wipped cream around the cake& decorate with chocolate curls & cherries as u wish.
Whipping cream frosting :-
Beat the cooled whipping cream well till the peaks are fluff.then add icing  sugar & strawberry essence .beat well to stiff peaks.
