Polos Curry:
Ingredients;
π500g Polos ( young Jack)if you can’t get the fresh one use the Tin
πGinger garlic paste
πChilly powder 4 teaspoons
πCoriander powder 5 teaspoons
π1/4 teaspoons turmeric powder
πSalt to taste
πCummin seed powder 1/2 teaspoons
πFrenugeek seeds 1/2 teaspoons
πMustard seeds 1/2 teaspoons
π1 tablespoons Oil
π1 onion slices
π1/2 tomato
π3 green chilli
π1/2 teaspoons pepper powder
πCurry leaves little (optional)
πGoraka 1 piece
π2 cups thick Coconut milk
π3 cups thin coconut milk
Method:
1. Cut the polos into medium sized cubes.
2.If you have a clay pot it will give a good taste to the curry.
3.Add oil to a pan,add mustard seeds .let it splatter.
4. Add the ginger and garlic paste stir it,until brown.
5.add the onions, tomatoes,green chilli and curry leaves stir fry it .
6. Add one teaspoon chilli powder to the oil,when it is red add the polos along with all the other remaining ingredients add the coconut milk and let it boil nicely in medium flame.
7. Now reduced the flame to very low and cook until the polos is tender.
8. When oil floats on top switch off the fire.
